Hayden is our Music Director. He hails from the Hoosier State where he is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. He loves spending time with his wife, Mary, and playing music.
Joshua serves as the Facilities Manager and oversees the church campus. He is husband to his wonderful wife, Julie, and they have a spirited daughter, Pyper. He grew up going to First Alliance Church and started working part-time for FAC at the age of 17. As the church grew, Josh moved into a full-time position as the custodian and in 2014 he became the Facilities Manager. Joshua enjoys spending time with his friends and family, going to Hocking Hills, snow skiing, and working with electronics.
As a teenager, Amy began attending FAC (then the Toledo Gospel Tabernacle) in 1978. She met her husband Glenn (best place to find a mate), and they raised their three children with the help of FAC. She has seen God’s faithfulness through it all! Upon retiring as a medical transcriptionist, Amy joined the FAC staff in early 2016. She enjoys Bible study, good books, visiting her grandkids, walking, biking, nature, Starburst jelly beans, and Siesta Key, Florida.
Director of Student Ministries
Justin Samson is the Director of Student Ministries at First Alliance Church. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and religious studies from Indiana University and a Masters of Ministry degree with an emphasis in counseling from Bethel College. He has been working with students in a church setting for over 10 years. Originally born in Toledo, Justin grew up in Oklahoma and Indiana and moved back to Toledo in 2014. He enjoys longboarding, camping/hiking, working on anything with an motor, woodworking, and playing music (guitar and drums). He has been married to his wife, Kristin, since 2012.
Director of Administration
Kendra serves the church staff and lay leaders by assisting their specific ministry needs. She also is involved in youth and children’s ministry. Kendra earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business with an Emphasis in Management from Cornerstone University and has been serving at First Alliance Church since 2008. Kendra is married to her high-school sweetheart, David, and together they have three young children: Layla, Eliana, and Tobias.
Kirk serves as lead pastor of First Alliance Church. He is the husband of one incredible wife, Heather, and dad to two beautiful daughters, an amazing son, and a great son-in-law. His passions include discipleship, music and the arts, and entrepreneurship. Kirk’s hobbies include travel, technology, sports, and roller coasters. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University and Michigan/Moody Theological Seminary, he earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Missional Leadership from Northern Seminary.
Keith Sholl is Pastor Emeritus at Toledo First Alliance Church. His previous pastoral ministries include; Lead Pastor, First Alliance Church, Toledo, OH; Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and Administration, First Alliance Church, Toledo, OH; Senior Pastor, First Alliance Church, Columbus, OH; Senior Pastor, Toledo Gospel Tabernacle (now First Alliance Church) and Pastor of Cedarville Community Church, Cedarville, IN. He is also the speaker on Design for Destiny, a radio broadcast heard on numerous stations. Married since 1967, Keith and Dee have two grown sons. His greatest joy is to awaken people to God’s truth through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
Director of Family & Children's Ministries
Sue gives leadership to our nursery through fifth grade Children’s and Family Ministry areas. Her greatest desire in Children’s Ministry is to encourage parents as they spiritually train their children and to see kids claim their own faith and live it. Sue is a graduate of the University of Toledo in Elementary Education with other continuing education courses in Early Childhood. She also has a one-year degree from Word of Life Bible Institute in Biblical Studies. She currently also works part time at the American School for Women and Children helping in their preschool program, teaching children English as a second language. She has taught at Toledo Christian School, taught overseas with New Tribes Mission, and has taken several mission trips to Jamaica and Mexico. She has a passion for missions and has the children at First Alliance Church involved in many mission projects throughout the year. Sue is married to her husband Mike who works as an RN for Mercy Health System. They have 3 adult sons – Daniel (wife Rebecca), Andrew, Nathan and 1 daughter – Jessica. Cooking, playing games with friends and family, reading, swimming, water skiing and camping are some of her favorite pastimes.
